Evening Shift Supervisor

Job Description:

In the event of store management's absence, this position is responsible for initiating and concluding the store's operations, which involve starting up necessary systems, managing cash transactions, and preparing the floor and stock room for daily activities. Additionally, the role includes unlocking the back entrance for delivery purposes and handling tasks such as processing returns, canceling orders, issuing refunds, depositing cash in the safe, and supplying change to cash registers upon request. The emphasis is on exemplifying and delivering a unique and enjoyable customer service encounter.

Roles and Duties:

• Attracts customers and patients through greetings and providing support with products and services. Addresses customer concerns and responds to inquiries to guarantee a pleasant customer interaction.
• Demonstrates and spreads exemplary customer service techniques to team members for providing a unique and enjoyable customer encounter, encompassing interpersonal behaviors like greetings, eye contact, and politeness, as well as Walgreens' service characteristics such as proactive assistance, recognizing needs, ensuring satisfaction, and more.
• Required to possess and utilize store keys independently for opening and closing operations as needed, without the presence of management.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to team members on managing warehouse operations and coordinating vendor orders through the entire process, from creation to verification, and receipt, which involves facilitating vendor deliveries by unlocking the rear entrance.
• One must be reliable and answerable for documenting all sales made on the designated cash register, which involves keeping track of scanning mistakes, verifying prices, recording items not in the system, adjusting prices, and voiding transactions.
• Supports the manager or assistant store manager by examining order discrepancies on the day orders are released and helps with reverse logistics processes such as returns and dealing with empty packages.
• Aids the manager or assistant store manager in assessing and enhancing displays, such as promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale items. Executes resets and modifications.
• - Upkeeps precise inventory records; ensures the correctness of available quantities, encompassing fundamental sections, storage areas, and excess storage spots.
• Provide support in ensuring that team members adhere to the Outdate program guidelines.
• Responsible for handling department pricing and implementing daily price adjustments to ensure accurate product pricing. Also accountable for ensuring that appropriate signage is visibly displayed in the store to support pricing accuracy.
• Aid in financial record-keeping tasks, such as cash register summaries, cash audits, accounting books, and settling invoices when needed or upon inquiry.
• Supports upkeep of both inner and outer areas through maintaining a tidy and organized store environment, which involves reporting necessary repairs in the manager's absence or upon managerial request.
• Supports in organizing food products with a focus on separating raw items from pre-cooked goods, in alignment with established guidelines.
• Understands how to operate store systems and equipment effectively.
• I am available to help at the pharmacy window as needed.
• Guarantees adherence to state and municipal regulations concerning controlled items such as alcohol and tobacco.
• In charge of inspecting team members' bags as they exit the store.
• Adheres to all organizational rules and regulations; fosters positive interactions with colleagues.
• Carries out specific projects and additional duties as required.

Training:

• Participates in training sessions and fulfills necessary PPLs as per Manager's request.
• Acquires and upholds legitimate PTCB certification or pharmacy license as mandated by the state.
• Acts as a bridge between executives and non-executive team members by relaying designated duties to staff in the absence of store management.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of one year of previous experience in a leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder role is required.
• Proficiency in English reading, writing, and verbal communication is required, excluding Puerto Rico.
• Value understanding store inventory management.
