Team Manager

Job Description:

Opens and closes the store in the absence of store management, including all required systems start-ups, required cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day. Responsible for opening back door of store for deliveries. Completes product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provides change as requested to cash registers. Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Roles and Duties:

• Welcomes customers and patients by providing support with products and services. Resolves customer issues and addresses questions to guarantee a pleasant customer experience.
• Demonstrates and shares customer service best practices with all team members emphasizing distinctive and delightful customer experience by incorporating interpersonal habits like greetings, eye contact, courtesy, alongside Walgreens' service traits including proactive assistance, needs identification, servicing until satisfaction, and more.
• Entrusted with the responsibility of using store keys to facilitate opening and closing operations independently, as required, without management oversight.
• Assists and trains other team members on handling warehouse operations and vendor order processing, including the creation, evaluation, and reception of orders, and enabling vendor deliveries through the rear entrance.
• Having the responsibility and accountability to register all relevant sales using the designated cash register, which involves keeping track of scanning discrepancies, verifying prices, documenting unrecognized items, adjusting prices, and voiding transactions.
• Supports the manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order irregularities on order release day and helps with reverse logistics operations, such as handling returns and empty packages.
• Supports the manager or assistant store manager in the assessment and improvement of displays, encompassing promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale goods. Executes resets and revisions effectively.
• - Maintains the accuracy of inventory tallies; ensures the precision of on-hand quantities in central departments, storage facilities, and additional stock locations.
• Assist in ensuring team members' alignment with the Outdate program standards.
• Responsible for overseeing basic department pricing functions, including implementing daily price adjustments and ensuring the proper display of signage for accurate product pricing. Also ensures the accurate and timely completion of any additional pricing tasks related to local regulations and compliance programs.
• Assist in maintaining financial books by completing tasks like cash documentations, cash audits, ledger maintenance, and processing outgoing payments when required.
• Supports the upkeep of the store's internal and external spaces by ensuring they are clean and well-ordered, as well as reporting any necessary repairs in the absence of the manager or when instructed to do so.
• Collaborates in the arrangement of food items in accordance with established protocols, segregating raw and pre-cooked items and implementing proper stock rotation techniques.
• Demonstrates understanding of how to use store systems and equipment.
• I am ready and available to assist at the pharmacy window as needed.
• Verifies that all necessary measures are taken to comply with state and local laws regarding regulated items, including alcoholic beverages and tobacco products.
• Entrusted with the task of verifying team members' bags before they depart from the store.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures; maintains respectful interactions with colleagues.
• Finishes special projects and other designated responsibilities as required.

Training:

• Completes the PPLs as required by the Manager following attendance at relevant training sessions.
• Acquires and maintains valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as mandated by state regulations.
• Operates as a liaison between executives and non-management team members by communicating assigned tasks to employees when store management is not available.

Qualifications:

• A history of one year in leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder responsibilities is a prerequisite.
• Capability in English reading, writing, and oral expression is necessary, excluding individuals in Puerto Rico.
• Value proficiency in store inventory management practices.
