Job Description:

Opens and closes the store in the absence of store management, including all required systems start-ups, required cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day. Responsible for opening back door of store for deliveries. Completes product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provides change as requested to cash registers. Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Roles and Duties:

  • Interacts with customers and patients by greeting them and providing support with products and services. Solves customer issues and replies to queries to maintain a positive customer service encounter.
  • Leads and disseminates customer service best practices with all team members to provide a unique and delightful customer experience, focusing on interpersonal behaviors like greetings, eye contact, courtesy, as well as Walgreens' service traits including proactive assistance, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, and more.
  • Tasked with the duty of holding store keys to autonomously conduct opening and closing operations without the presence of management.
  • Supports and educates colleagues in navigating the warehouse and vendor ordering process, supervising the order creation, assessment, and receiving stages, and allowing for vendor deliveries by unlocking the backdoor.
  • Responsible and answerable for inputting all relevant sales on the assigned cash register, involving tracking scanning errors, confirming prices, documenting unrecognized items, adjusting prices, and voiding transactions.
  • Works with the manager or assistant store manager to investigate order exceptions on order release day and participates in reverse logistics tasks, including managing returns and empty packages.
  • Contributes to evaluating and enhancing displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise, under the direction of the manager or assistant store manager. Manages resets and revisions proficiently.
  • - Establishes accurate inventory appraisals; maintains the integrity of available quantities within fundamental departments, storage facilities, and excess stock placements.
  • Help monitor and reinforce adherence to the Outdate program among team members.
  • Manages department pricing responsibilities, such as daily price changes and ensuring the correct signage placement for accurate product pricing. Also responsible for accurately and promptly fulfilling any extra pricing tasks related to local regulations and compliance initiatives.
  • Offer help with financial data management, including cash accounts, cash inventories, ledger entries, and payment processing as needed or upon request.
  • Aids in maintaining the store's interior and exterior in a clean and orderly condition, including requesting repairs when the manager is not around or when directed by the manager.
  • Helps in maintaining an organized display of products by following specific placement guidelines, such as positioning raw and frozen meats on lower shelves.
  • Shows aptitude in handling store systems and equipment.
  • I can provide aid at the pharmacy window in line with your requirements.
  • Checks and enforces adherence to state and local regulations pertaining to controlled products like alcohol and tobacco.
  • Assigned the responsibility of conducting bag inspections on team members at store departure.
  • Exercises compliance with all company policies and guidelines; fosters respectful interactions with coworkers.
  • Completes exclusive tasks and additional responsibilities as directed.

Training:

  • Attends designated training sessions and successfully completes all specified PPLs at the Manager's behest.
  • Obtains and preserves legitimate PTCB certification or pharmacy license as per state regulations.
  • Operates as an intermediary between superiors and non-managerial staff by instructing employees on allocated tasks when store management is not present.

Qualifications:

  • The position requires a minimum of one year of prior experience in leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder roles.
  • Fluent in English reading, writing, and speaking is a must, with the exception of individuals in Puerto Rico.
  • Emphasize the importance of being skilled in store inventory management.
