Job Description:

Assumes the duty of commencing and finalizing store activities when store leadership is not present, encompassing the commencement of essential systems, the management of cash transactions, and the preparation of the floor and inventory area for the day's operations. The responsibility also entails unlocking the rear access for deliveries and carrying out activities like processing returns, annulling orders, reimbursing customers, depositing cash in the safe, and dispensing change as needed at the cash registers. The focal point lies in embodying and offering a distinctive and pleasing customer service interaction.

Roles and Duties:

• Interacts with customers and patients by welcoming them and providing aid with products and services. Handles customer problems and responds to queries to create a favorable customer journey.
• Serves as a role model for team members in showcasing and promoting top customer service practices to achieve a memorable and positive customer interaction, emphasizing interpersonal gestures like greetings, maintaining eye contact, showing courtesy, along with Walgreens' service attributes like anticipating needs, addressing requirements, sustaining support until contentment, and others.
• Accountable for securely storing and utilizing keys to facilitate opening and closing procedures at the store without the need for management supervision.
• Helps and trains fellow colleagues in navigating the warehouse and vendor ordering procedures, overseeing the order generation, assessment, and arrival stages, and enabling vendor drop-offs by opening the back entrance.
• Being in charge and answerable for inputting every relevant sale through the allocated cash register, which encompasses registering scanning inaccuracies, confirming prices, documenting items not listed, changing prices, and canceling transactions.
• Aids the manager or assistant store manager in evaluating order irregularities when orders are released and participates in reverse logistics activities like processing returns and managing empty packages.
• Supports the manager or assistant store manager by evaluating and improving various displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale products. Takes care of resets and revisions.
• - Preserves precise inventory tallies; ensures the precision of in-stock amounts within key divisions, storage facilities, and surplus storage zones.
• Offer assistance in promoting compliance with the Outdate program among team members.
• Oversees the execution of pricing duties within the department, including daily price modifications and ensuring the correct display of signage to uphold accurate product pricing. Additionally, responsible for completing any supplementary pricing responsibilities related to local regulations and compliance programs promptly and accurately.
• Support in maintaining financial records by completing duties like cash reconciliation, money audits, ledger entries, and settling accounts payable as required.
• Helps in the maintenance of the store's internal and external areas by guaranteeing a clean and orderly appearance, including communicating repair needs when the manager is unavailable or when requested by the manager.
• Implements proper product placement strategies as outlined in policies, such as storing raw and frozen meats on lower shelves.
• Possesses familiarity with the functioning of store systems and equipment.
• I can provide assistance at the pharmacy drive-thru as requested.
• Ensures that all requirements of state and local authorities concerning regulated products like alcoholic beverages and tobacco are met.
• Tasked with carrying out bag checks on team members prior to their departure from the store.
• Demonstrates compliance with all corporate guidelines and protocols; upholds amicable connections with coworkers.
• Finishes designated tasks and other responsibilities as needed.

Training:

• Takes part in the training program and finishes all required PPLs specified by the Manager.
• Secures and sustains proper PTCB certification or pharmacy license in accordance with state regulations.
• Functions as an intermediary between supervisors and non-supervisory employees by conveying allocated responsibilities to team members in the absence of store leaders.

Qualifications:

• Candidates must have at least one year of proven experience in a leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder position.
• Mastery of the English language in reading, writing, and speaking is a must, with the exception of Puerto Rico.
• Favor familiarity with managing store inventory.
