Customer Service Associate

Job Description:

Displays and executes a unique and satisfying customer service encounter. Completes transactions via assigned cash register, serves clients with polite, equitable, amicable, and speedy cashier service.

Roles and Duties:

• Greet and aid customers and patients to facilitate interaction and guidance on product selections and services offered. Resolves customer issues promptly to guarantee a positive customer experience.
• Leads by example in modeling and sharing effective customer service techniques with all team members to deliver a unique and enjoyable customer service experience, covering interpersonal behaviors such as greetings, maintaining eye contact, showing courtesy, and following Walgreens' service traits like proactive assistance, identifying customer needs, and servicing until customer needs are fulfilled.
• - Provides clients with service that is courteous, pleasant, prompt, and effective.
• Guiding clients on preferred merchandise options and advising on potential trade-in or supplementary products.
• Utilizes the allotted cash register to document customer buys, manages cash transactions, and provides change when requested. Deals with voided transactions, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as necessary.
• Ensures cleanliness and proper merchandising of counters and shelves, conducts inventory management, and keeps records organized. Receives and tags products according to store manager's instructions or information provided by the shift leader.
• Executes strategies for preserving company resources to mitigate potential revenue decreases.
• Ensures that compliance with state and local statutes governing products like alcoholic beverages and tobacco is maintained.
• Undertakes the assembly and maintenance of displays, encompassing promotional materials, seasonal setups, large structures, and items for sale. Executes resets and changes as instructed.
• Aids in the separation of food items by differentiating between raw and pre-cooked items and arranging them according to company protocols, including the placement of frozen meats on lower shelves.
• Displays adeptness with store systems and equipment.
• Offers customer service in the photo area, involving digital passport photo services, creative poster printing, operating a creative machine, and recommending promotional photo merchandise.
• Assumes responsibility for overseeing online pickups, monitoring orders within Picture Care Plus, filling orders by selecting items, and distributing orders to customers when they come to the store.
• Works towards maintaining the store's neat and orderly condition by supporting with exterior and interior maintenance tasks.
• Maintains adherence to all company policies and procedures; upholds a respectful and cooperative dynamic with coworkers.
• Accomplishes specialized tasks and additional projects as requested.

Training:

• Participates in training initiatives and fulfills PPLs requested by the Manager or specified by corporate directives.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in English, encompassing reading, writing, and verbal communication, is essential
• Willingness to accommodate a variable schedule, including weekends and evenings, is essential for this position
• Prioritizing applicants with six months or more of retail experience.
• Previous job involvement at Walgreens is a plus for prospective employees.
• Aim to be adept in English reading, writing, and speaking abilities, but not in Puerto Rico
• Applicants must be open to working flexible hours, which may include evenings and weekends.
