Warehouse Associate

Roles and Duties:

• Undertake safety measures and protocols to ensure the protection of every team member and promote a secure workplace culture.
• Participate in safety training seminars, designed explicitly for warehouse employees, to learn ways of working safely in a high-volume environment.
• As a valuable team member, assist in the transportation of goods by packing, loading, and shipping items to retail stores and customers.
• Ensure correct processing of merchandise at all times to ensure prompt dispatch to our stores and shoppers.
• Conduct freight and inventory transfer activities in the warehouse with both speed and care to ensure optimal results.

• Arrive for work duties on time and perform assigned tasks with attentiveness and on target for meeting deadlines.
• Organizational leadership plays a critical role in driving a culture of continuous improvement. This involves promoting and supporting problem solving initiatives, and creating a collaborative environment that fosters innovation and creativity
• Upholds a positive and respectful demeanor when performing tasks individually or in a group setting.

Requirements:

• Possesses the physical stamina to frequently lift and transport items ranging from 35-50 pounds throughout an entire work shift.
• Has the physical capability to carry and lift products weighing up to 60 pounds at times throughout the workday.
• Execute movements including standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching repeatedly during work hours.
• It is imperative to exhibit a favorable and respectful attitude while working on individual tasks or with a team.
• Skilled in proficiently applying elementary mathematical concepts like counting, addition, and subtraction.
• Proficiently able to accurately understand and analyze the information presented on product labels, tickets, and documentation.
• Competent use of computer systems and handheld devices can be achieved with little supervision after appropriate training.
• Effective communication can aid in resolving misunderstandings, conflicts, and other issues that may arise in the workplace
• To ensure compliance with safety standards and policies, it is critical to have a sufficient grasp of the English language in speaking, reading, and understanding instructions.

Additional Requirements:

• Experienced in the safe use of powered equipment such as Pallet Rider, Scissor Lift, Sit Down & Standup Forklift while following safety regulations and can work at heights of up to 40ft as required.
• Undertake tasks while positioned on a mezzanine, where the level could be as high as 40 ft, as required
• Experienced and capable of working in varying temperature settings, such as refrigerated or frozen areas, for an extended period of time.
